Cashless Treatment for Road Accident Victims Scheme, 2025

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has launched the Cashless Treatment of Road Accident Victims Scheme, 2025, providing treatment coverage of up to Rs. 1.5 lakh for road accident victims at designated hospitals across India. The scheme, which is not part of Ayushman Bharat, ensures timely and cashless access to trauma care, leveraging IT for efficient service delivery. It is funded by insurance companies and the Central Government, with a budget of Rs. 272 Crore for uninsured cases in the financial year 2025-26.
