The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), launched by the Indian government, is driving revolutionary changes in the education sector by establishing Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) in schools. These labs encourage innovation and creativity among students, fostering skills like design thinking and problem-solving. As of October 2025, there are already 10,000 ATLs with plans to establish 50,000 more. The implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 supports this initiative by shifting from rote learning to experiential education. This transformation aims to produce not only creative thinkers but also future-ready entrepreneurs from a young age, ultimately incorporating technology-driven learning and innovation into school curricula nationwide.
