CBDT Extends Deadline for Audit Report Filing

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for filing audit reports for the Assessment Year 2025-26 from September 30, 2025, to October 31, 2025. This decision follows representations from professional associations citing difficulties due to natural calamities affecting timely completion of audits. Despite the challenges, the Income-tax e-filing portal remains operational, with a significant number of Tax Audit Reports already submitted.
