CBIC Expands Export Incentives to Postal Shipments Effective January 2026
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is expanding export incentives to include postal exports. Effective 15th January 2026, exporters using postal channels in electronic form can claim benefits under Duty Drawback, RoDTEP, and RoSCTL schemes. This move is set to boost the competitiveness of MSME exporters from smaller towns and remote areas, enhancing cross-border e-commerce. Amendments to the Postal Export Regulations, 2022, facilitate this and highlight India's strategic focus on bolstering its e-commerce export ecosystem.
