CCEA Endorses Major Railway Multitracking Projects Across Four Indian States

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has sanctioned three significant railway multitracking projects spanning Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. With an investment of approximately Rs 18,509 crore, the projects aim to enhance the Indian Railways network by 389 km by 2030-31. Expected to generate employment for 265 lakh human-days, the projects will improve rail connectivity, support environmental goals, and bolster tourism and freight logistics efficiency.
