CCPA Penalizes Coaching Institutes for Misleading Advertisements

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed significant penalties on two coaching institutes, Motion Education Pvt. Ltd. and Career Line Coaching (CLC), Sikar, for misleading advertisements and unfair trade practices under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. CCPA found that these institutions had misrepresented their courses and student achievements to potential aspirants, mandating a collective penalty exceeding ₹1.39 crore against 31 institutes across India.
