Celebrating 100 Years of Ol Chiki Script
The Ministry of Culture has organized the centenary celebrations for the Ol Chiki script in New Delhi. Developed by Pandit Raghunath Murmu in 1925 for the Santhali language, Ol Chiki has become a significant cultural symbol. Commemorative coin and postage stamp releases marked the event, honoring its cultural and linguistic impact. The script, recognized officially in India's Constitution Schedule in 2003, remains vital for the Santhali community in preserving their heritage and linguistic identity.
