Celebrating Four Years of India's Account Aggregator Ecosystem

The Ministry of Finance marks the fourth anniversary of the Account Aggregator (AA) framework, launched on September 2, 2021. The AA ecosystem has seen significant growth, with 112 financial institutions operating as both Financial Information Providers (FIP) and Financial Information Users (FIU), and over 2.2 billion financial accounts enabled for secure, consent-based data sharing. The framework is recognized as a foundational Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) during India's G20 Presidency, enhancing financial inclusion and access to credit, particularly for MSMEs and personal lending.
