Centenary Celebrations of Indian Hockey Announced

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has announced the centenary celebrations of Indian Hockey, marking 100 years of the sport in India. The celebrations will commence on November 7 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi, with over 1,400 hockey matches played across 550 districts nationwide, involving more than 36,000 players. A special exhibition match will promote gender parity and inclusivity, while a commemorative volume chronicling the sport's history will also be released.
