Central Government Employees Can Opt for Unified Pension Scheme

The Ministry of Finance has announced that Central Government employees on deputation or foreign service to non-Central Government organizations can submit Physical 'Form A2' to opt for the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS). This scheme, applicable to new recruits from April 1, 2025, and existing employees under the National Pension System (NPS), allows for migration to UPS. The last date for eligible employees and past retirees to opt for UPS is September 30, 2025.
