Centre Allocates ₹213.9 Crores for Assam Rural Development

The Union Government has released ₹213.9 crores as the first installment of XV Finance Commission Untied Grants for the financial year 2025–26 to support rural local bodies in Assam. This funding is distributed across 2,192 Gram Panchayats, 182 Block Panchayats, and 27 Zilla Parishads in the state.
