Centre Allocates ₹224 Crores to Support Rural Infrastructure in Chhattisgarh

The Indian government has disbursed the first installment of ₹224.5762 crore as XV Finance Commission grants to Panchayati Raj Institutions in Chhattisgarh for the financial year 2025-26. This funding aims to enhance local governance and infrastructure in 11279 Gram Panchayats, 138 Block Panchayats, and 26 District Panchayats. The grants will support location-specific projects except for salaries, enabling improvements in sanitation and water resources.
