Centre Allocates ₹342 Crores in XV Finance Commission Grants for Tamil Nadu and Assam

The Union Government has released the first installment of XV Finance Commission grants for Rural Local Bodies, amounting to ₹127.586 crores for Tamil Nadu and ₹214.542 crores for Assam. These grants are aimed at supporting various local governance bodies and will be utilized for specific local needs, excluding salaries. The funds will also support sanitation and drinking water services.
