Centre Allocates Over ₹730 Crores in XV FC Grants for Rural Development

The Union Government has released over ₹730 crores in XV Finance Commission Grants for the financial year 2025-26 to enhance the capabilities of Rural Local Bodies (RLBs) in Gujarat and Haryana. This includes the second installment of untied grants for Gujarat amounting to ₹522.20 crores and the first installment for Haryana totaling ₹195.129 crores. The funds will be used for various local needs, excluding salaries, and will support sanitation, drinking water supply, and waste management initiatives.
