Centre Disburses Over ₹1,156 Crores to Strengthen Rural Governance
The Government of India has released the second instalment of the Fifteenth Finance Commission grants for the fiscal year 2025–26, amounting to over ₹1,156 crores. These funds are aimed at bolstering rural local bodies in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tripura, supporting governance at grassroots levels. In detail, ₹410.76 crores have been allocated to Andhra Pradesh, ₹714.32 crores to Maharashtra, and ₹30.6 crores to Tripura for enhancing local development initiatives.
