The Union Government has disbursed ₹15.20 crore under the Fifteenth Finance Commission grants to support rural local bodies in Mizoram. This funding benefits 808 Village Councils and is part of the second instalment of untied grants for the fiscal year 2024-25. These funds, managed by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Ministry of Jal Shakti, are intended for specific local needs and essential services like sanitation and water supply.
