The director was implicated in a fraud involving ₹60.59 crore in ITC through bogus invoices amounting to ₹397.23 crore. Investigation revealed non-existent business premises and fake transactions, indicating fraudulent intent under the CGST Act, 2017. The director was detained in judicial custody, highlighting a broader crackdown with multiple prosecutions by the CGST Delhi South Commissionerate this fiscal year.
