CGST Delhi South Commissionerate Uncovers Major ITC Fraud Case
The CGST Delhi South Commissionerate's Anti-Evasion Branch has arrested an individual involved in a fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC) scheme worth ₹60.59 crore. The scheme used fake invoices amounting to ₹397.23 crore with no actual goods or services exchanged. The arrested individual, related to a director of the fraud's beneficiary entity, orchestrated the scheme to defraud government revenue, contravening the CGST Act, 2017.
