Chhattisgarh's New Model for Women Empowerment
Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Smt. Raksha Khadse, visited Chhattisgarh to witness the impactful role of women-led self-help groups in economic and social advancement. The Minister acknowledged the significance of these groups in empowering women financially and fostering social transformation in rural areas. The Pragati Women Self-Help Group and initiatives like the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and Lakhpati Didi Yojana were highlighted for creating sustainable livelihoods and expanding market opportunities. Additionally, traditional Bastar crafts, such as the Dhokra metal art, were recognized for their cultural and economic contributions.
