Coal Production and Dispatch Report for August 2025

In August 2025, coal production from Captive and Commercial mines reached 14.43 million tonnes, with dispatches at 15.07 million tonnes. This marks an 11.88% increase in production and a 9.12% increase in dispatches compared to the previous year, reflecting improved operational efficiency. The Ministry of Coal attributes this growth to strategic policy measures and support for stakeholders, aiming to enhance production capabilities and meet rising energy demands in India.
