Cold Chain Infrastructure and Value Addition through PMKSY

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), which has approved 1601 projects across India, benefiting over 3.4 million farmers and generating 433,639 jobs. The scheme focuses on cold chain infrastructure and value addition, with 395 cold chain projects approved, including 27 in Uttar Pradesh. Additional support is provided through the Operation Greens and the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) to reduce post-harvest losses and enhance the horticulture sector. Financial assistance is available for various infrastructure projects, promoting efficient supply chain management from farm to retail.
