As of June 30, 2025, 78.407 crore farmer applications have been insured under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana since its launch in 2016, with 22.667 crore farmers receiving claims totaling Rs. 1.83 lakh crores. The government has implemented various measures to enhance transparency and efficiency in claim settlements, including the National Crop Insurance Portal and the Digiclaim Module. The scheme has seen a significant increase in coverage, with non-loanee farmer applications rising from 20 lakhs in 2014-15 to 522 lakhs in 2024-25.
