The first phase of the Special Initiative for Registration (SIR) of the Bihar Electoral Roll, aimed at ensuring no eligible voter is left out and no ineligible voter is included, is nearing completion. As of July 23, 2025, 98.01% of electors have been covered, with significant numbers of deceased, migrated, and duplicate registrations reported. The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on August 1, 2025, allowing for objections and claims until September 1, 2025.
