Comprehensive Modular Survey: Telecom 2025 Results
The Comprehensive Modular Survey conducted from January to March 2025 reveals significant mobile and internet usage among the youth in India. Approximately 96.8% of rural and 97.6% of urban individuals aged 15-29 used mobile phones in the last three months. Smartphone ownership stands at 95.5% in rural and 97.6% in urban areas. Internet usage is reported at 92.7% in rural and 95.7% in urban regions. The survey highlights the growing digital engagement and ICT skills among the youth, with 99.5% able to perform online banking transactions via UPI. Overall, 85.5% of households possess at least one smartphone, and 86.3% have internet access at home.
