Computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies in India
The Government of India is implementing a project to computerize Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) with a financial outlay increased to ₹2,925.39 Crore. This initiative involves the development of a common ERP software to enhance PACS operations, improve governance, and facilitate better service delivery to farmers. The project aims to integrate PACS with national platforms and provide training to ensure that even digitally illiterate farmers can benefit from digitalization. A structured monitoring framework has been established to oversee the implementation of this initiative.
