Coverage Under PM-Janman and Dajgua In Maharashtra

The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, reported in Lok Sabha that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN) in Maharashtra. This initiative aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) through data collection and various interventions, including housing, water supply, health services, and education. In Yavatmal district alone, 449 villages have been identified with PVTG populations, and significant progress has been made in providing essential services and infrastructure.
