Cruise Bharat Mission Sees Growth in Cruise Calls and Passengers

In FY 2024-25, India recorded 272 cruise calls and 4.92 lakh passengers, an increase from the previous year. Regulatory reforms, including a Cruise QR Code clearance system and digitized customs procedures, have been introduced. Puducherry Port has been operationalized for cruise services. The initiative aims to generate approximately 0.4 million jobs and currently has 29 National Waterways operational across 11 states.
