Cruise Tourism Set for Expansion on the Konkan Coast

The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, has established a Task Force to advance cruise tourism along the Konkan Coast. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance tourism with the support of Central Financial Assistance under several government schemes. Currently, four projects are underway in Maharashtra, with environmental and coastal zone clearances being processed by the Government of India. The announcement was made by the Union Minister for Port Shipping and Waterways in the Rajya Sabha.
