CSIR-CRRI’s MSS+ Technology for Green Road Construction in Uttar Pradesh

The CSIR-CRRI has developed MSS+ technology, which is being used by the UPRRDA for constructing eco-friendly roads in Uttar Pradesh. This innovative method allows for road construction without heating aggregates and bitumen, enabling work in all weather conditions. Approximately 202 kilometers of roads under the PMGSY are planned for this year, significantly reducing carbon emissions and aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The technology has shown superior quality compared to traditional methods and is set to expand across the state.
