Cyber Security Measures Under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has implemented stringent cyber security measures under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Health data exchange is permitted only after patient consent, and digital applications undergo security audits and sandbox testing. The Health Information Exchange and Consent Manager (HIECM) and Unified Health Interface (UHI) have been developed to ensure interoperability of health records. The ABHA portal and personal health record application have been made user-friendly and multi-lingual to enhance accessibility, especially in areas with limited digital literacy.
