Dairy Farming Initiatives in Jalgaon, Maharashtra

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying is promoting small-scale dairy farming in Jalgaon, Maharashtra through various schemes. Key initiatives include the Rashtriya Gokul Mission for indigenous breed conservation, the Nationwide Artificial Insemination Programme (NAIP) benefiting over 1.25 lakh farmers, and the National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD) aimed at enhancing dairy infrastructure. Additionally, vaccination programs and the Kisan Credit Card facility support farmers financially. The government is also implementing the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) to incentivize investments in the livestock sector.
