DAJGUA Initiative for Tribal Development
The DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) is a transformative initiative by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs aimed at inclusive and sustainable development in tribal regions. It encompasses 25 interventions across 17 ministries, targeting infrastructural gaps in 63,843 villages and benefiting over 5 crore tribals across 30 States/UTs. Key areas of focus include health, education, housing, electrification, and livelihood opportunities, with specific schemes for digital inclusion and electrification. The initiative also includes the construction of 1000 residential hostels for tribal students under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
