Defence Procurement Manual 2025 Released

On October 23, 2025, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh unveiled the Defence Procurement Manual (DPM) 2025, set to take effect on November 1, 2025. The manual aims to streamline procurement processes for the Armed Forces, facilitating approximately Rs 1 lakh crore in revenue procurement. Key changes include relaxed liquidated damages, assured orders for indigenised items, and the removal of the need for a 'No objection certificate' from the Ordnance Factory Board.
