In July 2025, Delhi recorded its best average Air Quality Index (AQI) since 2018, with an average AQI of 78, categorized as 'Satisfactory'. The month also saw the highest number of 'Satisfactory' days, totaling 29. Notably, there were no days classified as 'Severe' during the January-July period, marking a significant improvement in air quality. The average AQI for the first seven months of 2025 was 184, down from previous years, and PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations also reached their lowest levels since 2018, excluding the lockdown year of 2020.
