Delhi NCR Achieves Best Air Quality in 8 Years

Delhi-NCR has recorded its best average Air Quality Index (AQI) from January to October in 2025, with an average AQI of 170, the lowest since 2018, excluding the COVID lockdown year. The region did not experience any days with an AQI over 400, and the number of 'Satisfactory' days reached 79. PM2.5 and PM10 levels also hit their lowest averages in this period compared to previous years. The Central Air Quality Management (CAQM) is intensifying efforts to further improve air quality in the region.
