Delhi-NCR Air Quality Sees Remarkable Improvement in 2025

The air quality in Delhi-NCR has improved significantly in 2025, with the average Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded between January and November dropping to 187, the lowest in eight years, barring the 2020 lockdown period. This year, there were only three days with AQI levels exceeding 400, a sharp decrease compared to previous years. Additionally, the PM2.5 and PM10 levels have reached their lowest concentrations since 2018, aligning closely with the lockdown-induced reduction in 2020. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) is collaborating with stakeholders to sustain and further enhance air quality.
