Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav chaired a high-level meeting to review greening strategies for the Delhi-NCR region aimed at ecological security and sustained air quality improvement. The strategy includes scientifically planned, technology-enabled, and convergence-based district-level actions. Plans involve mapping green spaces, identifying invasive species affected areas, and converging resources for plantation. An integrated five-year plan will be developed for district-wise implementation involving community participation and multiple stakeholders, leveraging resources such as the Green Credit Programme, to advance ecological restoration and air quality initiatives in the region.
