Delivery of 'Mahe' - India's First Anti-Submarine Warfare Craft

The Indian Navy received 'Mahe', the first of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts (ASW SWC) built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), on October 23, 2025. Named after a historic port town in Puducherry, 'Mahe' showcases India's maritime heritage and self-reliance in naval shipbuilding. The vessel, measuring 78 meters and weighing 1,100 tons, is equipped for underwater surveillance, anti-submarine warfare, and mine laying, enhancing the Navy's capabilities and maritime security.
