The Indian Navy received the Ikshak (Yard 3027), the third of four Survey Vessel (Large) ships, on August 14, 2025. Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers in Kolkata, Ikshak is designed for hydrographic surveys and features advanced equipment. It has an indigenous content of over 80% and is the first SVL ship to accommodate women officers and sailors, reflecting India's commitment to 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'.
