Department of Posts Enhances Parcel Delivery Services Nationwide

The Department of Posts in India is undertaking a comprehensive transformation to position itself as a major public logistics organization. Key measures include modernizing the parcel processing and delivery ecosystem to improve speed, reliability, and customer experience. This modernization entails standardized systems, mechanic-driven delivery enhancements, and new technologies like real-time tracking and API integration with sales platforms. Additionally, 1,013 Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras have been established to support exports by small enterprises. The ongoing improvements are aligned with the Mail and Parcel Optimization Project, further bolstered by the launch of a new 'Know Your DIGIPIN' app. This app serves as the basis of the national Digital Public Infrastructure for addresses. An evolving Central Sector Scheme named 'DHRUVA' will underpin these developments by enhancing address information management as public infrastructure.
