Deputy President of South Africa Visits India to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
During an official visit, the Deputy President of South Africa, H.E. Mr Shipokosa Paulus Mashatile, met with India's Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan in New Delhi to discuss and enhance bilateral relations. The leaders focused on trade, investment, defence cooperation, and fostering people-to-people connections. Additionally, they explored advancing the interests of the Global South through multilateral forums such as BRICS, G20, IBSA, and IORA. Both nations expressed hopes for early negotiations on a Preferential Trade Agreement and discussed the expansion of defence collaborations. India thanked South Africa for its role in the cheetah reintroduction program, while inviting it to join global initiatives like the International Solar Alliance.
