Development of Climate Resilient Fishermen Villages in Tamil Nadu

The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) aims to develop 100 coastal fishermen villages into Climate Resilient Coastal Fishermen Villages (CRCFV) in Tamil Nadu. In 2024, Tamil Nadu harvested 6.79 lakh tonnes of fish, marking a 20% increase from the previous year, with a focus on sustainable fishing practices and marine pollution awareness.
