DGCA Approves Chardham Yatra Helicopter Services with Enhanced Safety Measures

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the recommencement of helicopter operations for the Chardham Yatra 2025, effective from September 15/16, 2025, after the monsoon break. Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami coordinated closely to implement enhanced safety measures following recent helicopter accidents. Key initiatives include strengthened pilot training, airworthiness inspections, operational safety measures, and passenger safety briefings.
