The Government of India has approved the Digital Agriculture Mission, aimed at creating a Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for agriculture. This initiative includes the Agri Stack, which consists of foundational registries such as Geo-Referenced Village Maps, Crop Sown Registry, and Farmers Registry. As of August 2025, over 7 million Farmer IDs have been generated, facilitating access to benefits like credit and insurance for farmers.
