Digital Intelligence Platform Reduces Telecom Frauds in India
The Ministry of Communications has implemented the Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) to effectively combat telecom frauds in India. Led by Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, the initiative has resulted in significant reductions in fraudulent activities, including disconnecting over 88 lakh suspicious mobile connections and preventing potential financial frauds amounting to ₹1,400 crore through advanced tools and risk-based interventions. Key contributors to this success include AI-led tools like Financial Fraud Risk Indicator and International Incoming Spoofed Calls Prevention System.
