Digital Preservation and Promotion of Indian Art, Culture and Heritage

The Ministry of Culture has initiated various technological measures for the digital preservation of India's cultural heritage, including the digitization of manuscripts, artifacts, and audio-visual documentation. Key projects include the documentation of over 118,000 antiquities by the Archaeological Survey of India, the digitization of 350,000 manuscripts under the Gyan Bharatam Mission, and the establishment of digital repositories like Abhilekh Patal and the National Cultural Audio-Visual Archives. Additionally, initiatives such as virtual museums and online exhibitions aim to promote Indian art and culture.
