The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has signed a MoU with C-DAC to establish a Digital Centre of Excellence (DCoE) aimed at accelerating digital transformation in the Indian maritime sector. The government has launched the SAGAR SETU platform to enhance operational efficiency and ease of doing business in ports, significantly reducing documentation time. Additionally, a standardized Scale of Rates (SOR) template has been introduced to ensure uniformity in Major Port Tariffs, providing clear definitions and transparent tariff structures.
