Digitization Enhances Justice Delivery System in India

The Indian Government, in collaboration with the eCommittee of the Supreme Court of India, has significantly advanced the digitization of the justice delivery system under the eCourts Mission Mode Project. This initiative aims to expedite case processing and ensure legal aid, particularly for economically weaker sections. As of December 2025, notable achievements include millions of cases handled via video conferencing, widespread implementation of eFiling and ePayments in High Courts, and extensive court document digitization. Live streaming and solar power installations in court complexes are also part of this government effort to modernize judicial processes.
