Directorate of Revenue Intelligence Busts Major Gold Smuggling Syndicate

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) successfully dismantled an international gold smuggling syndicate operating from Dubai and Bangladesh. During raids in Delhi and Agartala, the DRI seized over 29 kg of foreign-origin gold, valued at ₹40 crore, along with ₹2.9 crore in cash. The syndicate smuggled gold via the Indo-Bangladesh border into Tripura, with further transportation to Delhi facilitated by domestic cargo services. Four syndicate members have been arrested, and further investigations are ongoing.
