Disbursement of ₹62.40 Lakh to EMRS Students

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has disbursed ₹62.40 lakh under the President’s Discretionary Grant to 832 meritorious Class XII students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) across India. Each selected student, two from each stream (Science, Commerce, Humanities), received a one-time grant of ₹7,500 to encourage academic excellence. The initiative aims to promote equitable access to quality education and empower tribal youth for higher education and professional aspirations.
